| I am currently President of the Washington Potters Association (WPA) The WPA mission is educational based promoting better communication among potters throughout the state. I create artistic functional wheel thrown porcelain pottery fire to ^10 (2350f) in my home studio in Greenwood. Each piece is thrown and altered using techniques such as incised drawing, facets, paddling, and/or heavy slip applications. Fired with my glazes that are responsive to the ash and flames in the kiln. One of a kind pieces are developed with subtle atmospheric surface variations on each piece. I am interested in exploring the potential in clay, pushing the boundaries and allowing the earth to have a voice in the process.
